Details

Wapsi Thin Skin is a stretchable thin plastic film great for use on a wide variety of fly patterns. Thin Skin is excellent for wing cases on nymphs, backs on scuds, sow bugs, shells on crayfish, and shrimp patterns. This material can be used on flies down to and past size 18. Wapsi Thin Skin comes on a backing making it easy to cut. The solid colors feature opaque coloring with a matte finish on one side and a shiny finish on the other. The gator colors are translucent with a scale-like pattern. The mottled oak colors are translucent with mottling resembling that of natural turkey wing feathers. The mottled bustard colors feature a finer mottling pattern than that of the mottled oak colors.

Use this for copper johns, zingers, scuds, pupas and and some nymphs. Great material for tying these flys. Not to easy to tie down because it is slippery. But is great for finishing a fly and matching the hatch.
