Yo-Zuri Hybrid Fluorocarbon/Nylon Line
Yo-Zuri Hybrid Fluorocarbon/Nylon Line
(16)
Yo-Zuri Hybrid Fluorocarbon/Nylon Line - Clear is the first and only fishing line that molecularly bonds nylon and fluorocarbon during extrusion. The result is a strong, dense new material that we call Hybrid. Hybrid takes advantage of the awesome abrasion resistance and sensitivity of fluorocarbon, while utilizing the flexibility and stretch of nylon. Hybrid Line will open your eyes to a new level of fishing line performance. We stock Yo-Zuri Hybrid Fluorocarbon/Nylon Line - Clear in 600 yd. sp...

P-Line Floroclear Fluorocarbon Coated Line combines copolymer and fluorocarbon technologies to deliver a line that has the most desirable features for the serious angler. With a refractive index close to that of water, Floroclear virtually disappears once it enters the water. Floroclear's low water absorption gives the line greater casting distance, durability, and knot strength. The P-Line Floroclear Fluorocarbon Coated Line has a diameter that is up to 30% smaller than other lines with similar...

At a Glance: Copolymer

Copolymer lines are relatively new fishing lines and are made of two different types of nylon line combined, which stretches less than monofilament line and has even greater abrasion resistance than fluorocarbon. More and more anglers are discovering the higher cost of copolymer lines versus monofilament lines is more than made up by the characteristics and performance. Unlike monofilament line, copolymer does not retain spool-memory well, so there is less of a risk of the line unspooling and tangling when cast. The low spool-memory and lower stretching also allow for better hooksets and more fish landed. Copolymers are stiffer and more sensitive, allowing an angler to detect the lightest of bites. Knot strength is also greater than monofilament. The process in which this line is put through removes most, if not all, imperfections from the line, creating an extremely transparent product. Copolymer lines are stronger at thinner diameters than monofilament lines, giving the angler greater casting distances and amounts on a reel. Copolymer line is great in most water conditions and for numerous tactics for virtually every species. Most copolymers sink, unlike monofilament, allowing for greater trolling depths and work well with suspending rigs and lures. These lines also do not absorb water as monofilament does, but they also are just as susceptible to solar and heat damage. Because they’re made of nylon, they will need to be changed about as often as any monofilament line would. Some brands offer specific lines geared towards specific situations, so make sure to read the individual product description for more in-depth information. FishUSA offers copolymer line in the lightest test strengths and super-strong tests in both filler and bulk spools.

Brands of copolymer fishing line available at FishUSA include Berkley, Gamma, P-Line and Yo-Zuri.
