Poor Temple Fork Customer Service

by Pete

I purchased the rod and used for coho fishing. It worked fine the first few days but the section nearest the tip broke while landing a fish. I partially blame myself as I turned sideways and put extra pressure on the rod. I’m not disappointed the rod broke or that it wasn’t covered by warranty . I’m disappointed with the customer service. I asked to purchase the forward section. They have the part but refuse to sell it to me. They are requiring me to pay postage to ship the entire rod both ways and a minimum service charge of $60. I’m hesitant to pay $100 (maybe more) to fix a $200 rod. There are other rod companies that will sell and ship broken parts. There are also rod companies with better customer service. For a $200 plus rod, you deserve more!
