    I've suffered in size 14 Orvis boots too long. I got them used off 'the bay' after using construction boots for years. Really...I mean without felt soles...I wasn't sure it mattered. I used those for years...then I got the Orvis canvas waders in a 14. They HURT after an hour or two...and cost me a lot of money in toenail surgery (2 had to be removed they were so bad) Anyway - I wear a 14W in street shoes - you can't believe how hard it is to find wading boots as big as I need. With a pair of wool socks, neoprene stocking foot waders...I'm easily pushing the limits of a 15...and really SIXTEEN is what i needed. I opened the box and thought they were HUGE - until I put them on with the waders...just right! :) I'm sure the soles won't grip like felt - I'm sure I'll dislike that. I've recently bought a neighboring state's annual license...and while my state doesn't have any regulations against felt...the other one does (in a few areas). So...I bought rubber soles.

    I wear a size 14 and purchased a size up , a 15, it works wonderful, they fit wonderful and slip on and off easily because of the neoprene inside.
