ShimanoTDR trolling rod

I bought two 8 foot TDR-80H2B trolling rods a year ago. They were so great I bought two more for trolling for stripers and spanish mackeral. Caught a 30 pound Red Drum last week and the rod gave good flexable action. I use them for salt water fishing in the Cheaspeake bay.
Great Value

Can't Beat The Quality for the Price!

I have used Shimano TDR rods for over 15 years. I was hesitant to try the newer model, but am glad I did. Same quality as the previous models! Can't beat this rod for the price, especially from Shimano! Get these rods if you need any for Great Lakes salmon and trout trolling.

Great all around dipsey rod for walleye and salmon. I use the 8 footer for inside dipsey and 8 1/2 foot for the outside. I like the medium heavy rods.

I use them on Stripers in the Arkansas lakes and have had great luck with them. They are used for trolling only and take the strikes from large fish very well.
Ok rods

I bought the 8' medium rods. I bought these for erie walleye trolling. Should have got the medium light action. Theses rods are a little in the heavy side too. But hey decent rod for $29.95.
Great Rod

For a starter trolling rod, you can not beat the price or durability. i have had my TDR's for three years now and have not broken a single one. I would highly suggest these rods for anyone looking to get into trolling or are looking for a few fill in rods.
Just as advertised.

Great Quality Rod, Great Price

I currently own four Shimano TDR trolling rods (Two TDR90M2B and Two TDR86M2B) and am more than pleased. Haven't had a ton of time to use them yet, but after a couple trips to Lake Ontario, they have preformed flawlessly. Great hook sets and wonderful action. So far i've had bass, northern pike, walleyes, and steelheads all brought in by these quality rods. Still waiting to test them on a big Chinook. Largest fish caught on them to date was a 37 1/2" northern. The only downside I can think of isn't remotely close to being an issue. I was a little surprised how stiff the rods were for a "medium" (Can't fault the rod when you order them online). 5 out of 5, would order again
excellent trolling rod

i have two of these rods, med. heavy and medium. i use them for leadcore w/ 18 lb stealthcore on a penn 309, they are perfect for this type of line, have a much stiffer mid and upper section than most rods. if you want a downrigger rod, go with the med. light, you'll be happy with them (especially for the price)!
Great trolling rod for the price!!

I have fished with this rod for several years, primarily used for ocean salmon fishing. It has proven itself on many occasions, sensitive enough to provide excellent hookups yet tough enough to battle a 40# head shaker. I liked the rod so much that I purchased one for my fishing buddy.

These are great Rods for the money

My husband wasn't sure when I bought these rods, mainly because of the price, very reasonable, but when we used them and when he saw the bend he could put on them, he cranks them down quite a bit when they are on the downriggers, he was very impressed. We have 4 of these rods and use them every year Salmon fishing Lake Superior.
great value for the money

bought this rod because it was recommended by the website "salmon university", and I've had no complaints so far. shimano is usually pretty good stuff, and this rod is great for downrigger use (fiberglass so it's durable, good action). I recommend it highly.
Great value and quality combined

If you want to get a bunch of trolling rods, that are cost effective, will work for any type of trolling, are light, and built well. Get some of these. I am using the Med Heavy with Walker Tripz Jets for Walleye as well as for Salmon and Brown trout. These would work well for all species including musky.
Good rod for the money

I have 2 9ft rods with okuma line counters. These are great for trolling with walker deeper divers. They are limber but still have plenty of backbone to handle big fish. I will be buying more of these in the near future.

I use this rod with wire line and run a dipsy diver with it and it performs great ! Kinda tough to see small fish on though with the heavy action rod.
