A Great Steelhead Rod
by Mykiss -
I am an avid Steelhead fisherman , and I absolutely Love this rod !! I now own 2 of them and they are honestly one of the best Steelhead rods I have ever owned , at any price ! I have caught Steelhead over 15 LBS on this rod with Very light leaders , and would highly recommend this rod to anyone who enjoys targeting Steelhead with light line !

Totally worth the money

shore fishing for croakers and this one rod equipped with the Okuma Trio 40, basically shut down everything around me. Casting, I was getting out 20 to 40 yards further with a 1oz. sinker, I just kept bringing them in. I had my reservations at first, but she made a believer out of me!
12'6 shimano convergence spinning

good rod for the money. I paired these with shimano Sedona 2500's with 4 pound main and I use 2-3 pound leaders. Last steelhead I caught was 11 pounds on this set up. Gotta have good drag and leave it loose. i use Velcro cable straps to hold these together when storing them and transporting. I use 3/4 pyramids and tried 1 ounce... I wouldn't go heavier than that for fear of breaking. For 70 bucks it's a good rod...
High quality for the money

I did like this rod a lot but did not keep it for myself, but would recommend it for bigger river fishing! Lots of quality and very well built for the money! Maybe one of the lighter models would have suited me for local lakes?
Super steelhead rod

I have put this rod through its paces. Best rod I've owned. Truly worth the money. I got the 10'6 model.
Great rod 1 issue

Bought for a trip to Oswego NY to replace a generic cabelas combo I bought 3 years ago, their reel had the drag burnt out after 2 seasons. Anyway paired this rod with a stratic 4000 and can't ask for better performance on 20-30 lbs salmon. Only issue I have is after first day of fishing, tore down pole to put in case and saw a dime size piece of cork from the handle missing? I don't drop rods nor mistreat in any way, most of my rods are st Croix. Ten year old rod that still look new besides the coloration of the cork. Waiting to hear a response from Shimano. Other than that little flaw I would highly recommend this rod! You won't be unhappy!!!

My First SHIMANO Salmon Rod
by George -
At this time, it is hard to give you a true review of my ROD. I have not used it yet. I am going Salmon Fishing in Pulaski,NY. from 10/11 to 10/16. I'm sure I'll have a lot to say after that week. As of now, I like the way it feels, very easy to handle. [...]. I will respond soon. George
Perfect for float fishing
by Posit -
I needed a float rod for winter steelhead. I did not want to spend more then 100.00. This is the perfect rod for that situation! Lifetime Warranty, great bobber rod but only good for one thing. Float fishing!

Love this rod!!! I use this rod for casting large streamer flies for smallmouth bass on some of our local rivers, handles 3-5 lbs smallies with no problems. I have no complaints what so ever, I'm going to be buying another soon.
