Great panfish rod

paired the 30" rod with an inline reel. 2 lb test. AWESOME set up. detected even the lightest bites. No spring bobber needed, tip "loads up" nicely when fish inhales. Nice back bone for hoo ksets. Buying another.

Shakespeare ice rods

by Jekro -

A great rod for deadsticking and light bites. I bought 3 for my kids to use as the price is right. I've had one of them for 3 seasons now and it's handled large pickerel, bass and jumbo perch on the finger lakes with ease. I've also used it deadsticking for walleyes and perch and Oneida with decent success. I'll have no reservations buying again in the future. As for attaching a reel calf castration bands picked up from tractor supply work excellent. Add 6 to the handle and your reel be very secure and easily removable.

Still love this rod !

I have over 30 ice rods and reels in the rack.. And this noodle rod delivers . Great rod for all types of panfish and it has plenty of backbone when it needs it. This Rod in 30'' light would be one of my top choices regardless at any price . And it's only $15.
