          Highly recommend this rod! I spent most of this steelhead season (yes I said steelhead) nymphing with a 10’6” 3 wt, which I really enjoyed, but after losing a few big fish I really wanted to try this rod. Wow, I was not disappointed! The second we took it out of the packaging at the tackle shop I knew this was going to be the rod for me. The second section was much more stout that my 3 wt and I knew it would have the backbone to be able to handle the bigger fish. The longer length helps with that as well. The tip section is very soft and you are able to detect subtle takes. I was able to land bigger fish with ease and hold fish in faster water which I was not able to do with my previous rod. If you are looking for a nymphing rod that is soft and sensitive but can still handle big fish, this is the rod for you!
