The Rapala Lithium Ion Cordless Fillet Knife features a comfortable, relaxed grip handle designed for reduced fatigue and for optimum comfort and control. The lithium ion battery weighs 1/3 less than a similar NiCad battery, charges in nearly half the time, and lasts 100% longer. The battery has a low memory effect, increasing the number of charge/discharge cycles.
The quiet and powerful motor delivers consistent speed and torque with less size and weight. The advanced vented air flow body design dampens vibration while keeping the motor cool and quiet. Needs faster blades!
by Roger Keesy
I have 2. Both work good but I really wish the blade speed was faster. Battery charge lasts a decent amount of time. Fits my hand well, not too bulky. Not very powerful w the slow blade speed.
Bought 2 of these, one for each of my brother in laws, 2 years ago. They are both going strong. As a matter of fact, one didn’t even plug one in to recharge the last time we went on a fishing trip, just pulled it out and we filleted about 30 red drum. Just about to order 2 more, one for my other brother in law and myself.
needs to be more duriable.
love the knife and the ease it lets me clean my fish but, I was cleaning a mess of crappie and dropped the knife to the grass from about waist high and it stopped working. has not worked sense. think the battery shorted out. emailed rapala and they said batterys could purchased on their site. the knife only had about 2 hours use on it now it,s useless to me without buying another 50 dollar battery.
