PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line
PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line is not affected by saltwater, UV rays, or most chemicals and solvents. The life of PowerPro line is much longer than monofilament lines (as a rule of thumb, it lasts five times the life of monofilament line). In fact, depending on how much and where you fish, PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line could last two to three fishing seasons or longer. With PowerPro, you have more fish in the boat, and less bait lost – you'll find that you're actually money ahead.
PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line is composed of polyethylene, a very slick plastic. In fact, the only material that is slicker than Spectra, is Teflon. Spectra, combined with PowerPro's Enhanced Body Technology, makes a rounder and smoother line, which is gentler on rod guides than the older style braids. PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line has a specific gravity of 0.98 g/cc – just a hair lighter than water. Unlike heavier nylon and Dacron lines that sink, PowerPro will tend to stay at the surface. This means that you'll get faster control of your fish after a strike with less belly in the line.
- Longer and smoother casts
- Enhances handling on any reel
- Superior knot performance
- Resists burying in the spool
- Near zero stretch
- Incredible strength - 10X stronger than steel
- No reel memory
- Won't cut guides
PowerPro Braided Spectra Fiber Line is made in the U.S.A.

I use the line with most of my fishing applications. I add an in line swivel and florocarbon leader for less stretch then mono.

PowerPro line simply works great. I can use the heaver test line with power pro and still get the benefits of casting a lighter line due to the line size. The line usually sets the hook for you and requires little or no effort in setting the hook since the line has very little stretch. Great line!
I'm hooked on this line

I like using Power Pro line for float fishing for steelhead. It casts well, and its small diameter allows me to get my jig down to proper depth with a minimum of weight.

I use Power Pro line for deepwater jigging and for trolling with Dipsy Divers. It cant be beat for both of those purposes!

Bought for my older style outriggers and came as advertised. My use did not match any of the uses on the instruction panel but I was able to figure out my set-up. Good strong cord material and bungee. Appears well made. Be sure you have your own clips though as they do not come in the kit.
I would buy this product again and again

Excellent product, great hooksets!

I have used this product for walleye and Steelhead since purchasing it. Have already landed 2 steelhead and a 29" walleye using the product. These are wary fish and they fell to this product. Very confident in the hooksetting ability, strength, and castability. Just be careful putting your finger on the line when a fish is pulling on the other end. You may end up with a nice little cut, because of the strength and fine diameter of the line.
The best braided for the money

I am fascinating of the streamer line agility and strength. I use it to trolling and angling. But even for a caste-rod. It has never messed up for me.

This line does everything I need it to for my fishing trips---easy casting---few or no backlashes---strong---doesn't stretch---and stays uniform on the reel---highly recommended---DD
Small diameter, virtually no stretch

Great line for mid level dipsy divers. Excellent choice for backing lead core (30 lb) and copper wire (50 lb). It's so tough you will need high quality scissors to cut it. Standard fingernail clippers only crush it and won't cut it.
The only braid to use !!!!!!!

There are many braids on the market.......Power Pro is the best.
Best Braided Overall
by Norm -
I use 20# for shallow flounder, and 80# for deep water grouper. The 20# casts better than 6# mono. I'm hooked, will never go back to mono. All braided users know that smaller braided seems to catch on everything, worse than mono, and a loop or knot harder to get out than mono, but the size and limpness is worth the occational aggrevation.
