I have compared this reel to the $ 300.00 reels. The performance is just as good as any. I am a professional guide on Norris Lake and Dale Hollow Lake home of the world record Smallmouth Bass in Tennessee. I f you are in the market for a casting reel look no further than the President XT for the money you can't beat it.

I think that this is a great reel for the money. I have one on a St. Croix Premier casting rod and it's a beautiful combo. Smooth, and it casts a mile.
Affordable, smooth, dependable

Very affordable and I challenge you to find a better reel for the price. Compared to a lews American hero and an older Abu, it out preforms them. I’m an Abu guy but this reel is great, casts far but with precision, easy settings wise, and looks great. The only con one could have. Is it’s a bit heavy but I actually I prefer that so to each there own. I have used it three 5-7 hour days in a kayak now as my main Texas rig.
