Broke Before Catching 1 Fish

by

Rod is an absolute beauty in both feel and looks, but... About 2 months after my initial purchase, I had only used it once as I was quite busy with school. In that time, the cork on the bottom fell off the rod and had to be re-glued. I just took it fishing once more on spring break, and on a simple cast, I reeled in and pulled my lure out of the water. Then I noticed that above my lure, a 2ish inch teal stick was dangling on my line. I've since repaired it with a replacement rod tip, but it made it through the rest of that day damaged and I still managed to even catch 2 fish on it: a rat red and a croaker that had nearly been chomped in half with some gross gashes on either side of him. (I also caught a few dinkers my backup ugly stik that gave me no issues that day.) Without those 2 inches of tip, the rod feels much less sensitive unfortunately. Safe to say: not my luckiest day. I'd strongly suggest that if you buy this rod, buy it in person for ease of returns. Just in case.
