sst float rod

by -

paired this with a new Okuma DRII for a recent trip , much better feel than my okuma Aventa rod , lighter in the hand but more backbone , good tip action to protect light leader , I was also able to cast lighter floats easier, my other rod had sliding rings ,I much prefer this handle , wayyyy better rod than I expected for the price

Great rod for steelhead

I got this rod to go with my Sheffield Centerpin and loved it. I used his rod for several weeks and finally ended up getting a different rod..... ONLY because if the hassle of the 3 peice. I'm not fishing big river like the Manistee too often so the full 13'4 is not needed. When I do fish those bigger rivers I use this rod. It is always broken into the sections and kept in the truck as a back up. Don't get me wrong, great rod but the transportation of it is kinda a hassle. Would highly recommend this rod though. Would love to see a 11'6 or 12' 2 piece rod with slide rings available with this blank!
