These reels are fitted with precision cut brass gears for extra strength and long life durability. The stainless steel level wind feature distributes the line evenly for a flat line lay, reducing twists and tangles, and the oversized drag provides consistent smoothness and strength.

  • Machine cut brass and stainless gears
  • Oversized multi-disc drag
  • Oversized star drag for quick adjustments
  • One-piece, corrosion resistant graphite frame
  • Flush fitting graphite reel clamp
  • Selectable line clicker

Line counter is not accurate.

When letting out line the footage count on the counter depended on how much line was stored on the reel. The counter worked on the revulation of the reel(less line on reel more revulation, higher footage count, more line on reel less revulation lower footage). Noway of knowing accurately how many feet of line you were letting out.

Okuma Magda Pro DX

I have two Okuma Magda Pro Ma 15DX reels. I use these reels primarily when trolling crank baits and when using planner boards. I have the reels spooled up with 10lb. test mono. Primarily I'm fishing for Walleye. So far the drag has worked well and the reel is nice and smooth. Quality of the reels look as good to me as the Diawa, if not better. The line counter seems accurate. So far I have no complaints. For the money I would recommend the Okuma Magda pro.

I have used these reels trolling walker deeper divers and have not had any problems. I have also used these with downlines for stripers with no problems. Handles braid as well as mono.

Great for Sacramento Delta Trolling

Easy and Smooth to Operate. Used it to troll for Sac River Stripers. Thought it was the Best buy on a Line Counting Reel that would last several years. It had great reviews.
