Excellent trout rod

by a1sparky -

I have purchased several CE-S-702l-1 rods. They are excellent for trout, any size. I purchased one for a friend. He now enjoys twitching a powerworm for trout.

Great Light to Ultralight Rod!

by Big Bob -

Great combination of strength and insane flexability! Major fun with Kokanee in the 14 to 16" range. Works well with either spinning or baitcast reel.

great rod, great price

by will

So far I use it for trout fishing, but will be going walleye fishing soon. I like the light weight of the rod, should be able to cast all day.

Bought this rod to fish smallmouth in the New River in Western Virginia. Got the 7' version and it is great for fishing all types of baits from my kayak. The length helps keep the line off the fast moving river for better bait control. First time out, got in a 3lb smally, which got into very fast moving current. The rod handled it with no problem. Highly recommend this rod.

Great Trouting Rod

by Poxy Boggards (FNN) -

This is a great rod. I bought the 7'0" model, and it has enough backbone for larger fish and has a nice whipiness for casting small lures/power worms/jigs. I have it matched up with a Pinaccle Tiny Deadbolt, and this is a great combo for trout. Took it out for this first time this past weekend, and it performed well above my expectations for the price tag. All of my guides are in allignment, and I could not be happier with it's performance.

I bought the 9'6 ml version for surfcasting local beaches. So far so good. It's light and it casts well. Just waiting to catch something on it

I use the rod to catch crappie and white bass, mostly below 1 lb. 6 lb test line. The rod is sensitive enough.

Fit & Finish that of Rod's 3x the price

by Tireron -

line guides are special design to keep line away from rod for longer casts. used for pan fish & walleyes. have caught 34" northern on 6lb line(tipped with 30lb leader) with this rod and NO problems handling a fish that size.

Lightweight bait launcher

by Don Tampa -

I use this for wading the saltwater flats. It will cast a a live shrimp or light lure a long way. If you hook a larger fish expect to fight a it a long time. The rod is light action so you can't 'horse' the fish. This is my second rod of this model. (I broke the tip on the first one - my fault.)

good rod

by yellow-cloud -

I got a 9'6" light action rod and use it for lake bank fishing for mainly white bass of 1 lb or so. The rod is light weight and has good sensitivity to detect fish bite. The choice for rods >7' long and light action is limited on the market. I am glad I found this. The price is ok.

Great Trout Rod

by Poxy Boggards (FNN) -

I just got my new Okuma Celilo 7'0" light action, and I am very happy with the purchase. Great for jigging and power worms. The casting is almost effortless when matched up with my new ultra light reel. I am very happy with the purchase, and would recomend this pole to any avid trout fisherman. Great value for the price.

surprising tough rod

by Mike -

This is the third one of these rods I have owned, broke one because of me, I have use this rod for snook along the beach and it handle them without a problem. I don't think I would try and it around mangroves but it will handle most situations for light saltwater use and you can cast all day with it. Rod is just a pleasure to use.
