Update to my review of 2 months ago. After a few back & forth emails, Okuma relented and sent me a new upper section for my 2 piece 6'6" UL rod. For free. So, kudos to Okuma for stepping up. I really like this rod for trout fishing. It casts well, and the action and power are what I expected. Other than the upper tip section snapping under light pressure - see previous reviews - it has given me no problems. I had it out yesterday and was fortunate enough to hook and net two 18" rainbows and two 17" smallmouths from a small local creek. I was fishing small plastic worms on a #10 single egg hook with 6# line, and this rod was more than up to the task for getting those fish into the net. Great little rod for trout, panfish, and the occasional bonus smallie. Especially for the price.

Adequate for the Price. (And right handers).

I got 3 rods from Okuma Celilo 5' , 5',6'' 6',6'' I used the last one last 5 years, and others one season, i got 20'' bass on 5'6'' just to prove point that it can handle fish like that. It's about guys who broke rods on the 3rd cast. However i do have other rods. But for money I'll give 5 stars.

Update to my review of 10 months ago. I snapped the tip on my 2 piece Celilo 6'6" UL spinning rod. I had the lure hooked to the hook keeper, and noticed my line was wrapped once around the tip guide, so I grabbed the line to simply unwrap it, something I've done several times over the years with other rods. Much to my surprise, the rod snapped 10" down from the tip. I wasn't putting a lot of tension on the line, just enough slack to undo one wrap, and Snap! I'm disappointed to say the least. I contacted Okuma, and they do have spare upper rod end pieces available under their one year warranty. For $15 shipping. I didn't think that was much of a deal for a warranty claim, especially when a new rod is only $30.

This is a perfect ultra light panfish rod. I got this rod as an ultra light perch and bluegill rod and it is also the rod my daughter is learning to fish with. Great quality and great price!
