Best bang for your buck seriously
I found one of these rods for close to 20 years. Hands-down best rod for the money. I’ve had to replace a tip on it but it was my fault. I’ve caught every species of freshwater fish Including a 6 pound rainbow. I now own three of them Paired with Daiwa BG reels. Spend your saved dollars on Other stuff instead of an expensive rod. In my opinion these are perfect for light presentations
Nice UL trout rod
I bought this rod specifically for throwing light lures for trout fishing, e.g., Trout Magnets, Trout Worms, etc. It works very well for that. At first I thought it was too soft & whippy, but that was because most of my prior fishing has been using medium action spinning rods. In fact, the 6' 6" UL I bought is just fine. it casts those 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, and 1/8 oz. lures as far as I need in the streams and lakes I fish. I've had no problems landing any of the trout I've caught so far this year, up to 16.5" rainbows, in either lakes or in the creek currents.
A fine little rod, and a very good price.
Very Good Rod without Braking the Bank
This is the second Celilo 6'6" I buy for trout fishing.
It's almost comparable to my TFO Trout Panfish that costs 3 times. So, I have this Okuma for the hard work.
You can't be wrong with FishUsa always fast an excellent packaging.
Nice rod for crappie fishing
Excellent rod! Received quickly and well-packaged. Nice rod, good action for crappies. Cork grips and guides are good quality. I recommend for an ultralight rig for crappies. 6 1/2 foot rod.
Broke on 3rd cast
I was just looking at the Okuma warranty and decided it may not be worth sending it back. $30 rod broke just below 2nd eyelet on the 3rd cast out of the box. First time buying Okuma products. It will be the last. Okuma Celilo Spinning Rod, 6'6", ultralight. Using 10lb braid with a fluorocarbon leader to a 1/16 jig head, small 2" plastic shad. Bought based on reviews, will now disregard fishusa reviews until further notice. Also got a Berkley rod and that one is great.
