Fantastic rods for the price!
by PolarisPete -
I never heard of these rods until last Summer when we went out on a boat Perch fishing on Lake Erie out of Erie, PA. My Brother Inlaw had boughten 2 of them and I used one and was very impressed with the action and quality for the price.I got home and oreded 2 from FISHUSA and used them in the Fall. My Son inlaw saw them and he to was impressed on these rods and wanted to know where I got them. I told him that they were not avaiable locally. On Xmas morning he was very surprised to see 2 of them under his Xmas Tree. I am going to get 2 more in the Spring. I would rate these rods as a 10 out of 10!! Great job FISHUSA on the securely rod packaging and the FAST shipping times.
Okuma Celilo Spinning Rods
by Jeepjock -
I have purchased seven Okuma Celio spinning rods from Fish USA. I am extremely happy with these rods. I fish light to ultralight and I fish hard. These rods have proven to be as tough as my more expensive rods. You can't go wrong with this product. Jeepjock

I'm a huge fan of Okuma rods and reels. I was looking for a light rod for crappie and maybe some trout fishing, so I tried the Celilo series. I am very glad I did, the value is great and the rod is a beauty.
Great rod for the price!

I've used this rod for years and the performance is excellent especially for the price.
Great rod for the money!

Great rod for the price. Bought my fishing buddies all one for Christmas. Highly recommend paired with a light (4-6 pound) reel.
A very nice ultalite a must have for finese fishing 2 to 6lb fish!

Excellent for long cast using small baits less than 1/4 oz jigs, twister tails spinners, blade baits etc. It could have a little more backbone ,but it is a ultralite.Flexible enough to tire out the hogs.Be careful easy to break, but what do you exspect for under 35$.

Rods are light and sensitive. Purchased the 5'6' model and liked it so much I bought the 6' model. Fast shipping and great price from FishUSA.
Nice rods, ... I bought 4 of them. :)

I like this rod very much. The first one I bought was at Field and Stream, but then I seen them here for about $12 cheaper. I use it almost exclusively to catch crappie. I pair it up with a Shimano 2500 reel and it's been a great combination.

These rods are a great deal!! I bought two of these one at 7'0" and one at 7'6". As soon as I found em on here, I bought another of each, and I talked a buddy into buying the same. I LOVE THE RODS. They are nice and light, yet can cast a mile with 6 pound test. I can chuck a 3/8oz Kastmaster for days! I would recommend these to anyone as they are cheap, yet seem to be put together well enough to cost a lot more money. Great deal on FishUSA!!!!

I use this rod for trout and it does a fantastic job. This was my second Celilo rod. A 6'6 and a 7'6. Perfect ultralight action. Not too stiff and not too whippy. Landed a 6.8lb rainbow and it handled it well. Go out and buy one.

This is a great rod. I bought the 7' Light action. I cast a lot of Little Cleos and Kastmasters with is. It's sensitive enough to feel a small Bluegill bite and strong enough to land a 20" Brown Trout.
Impressive rod for shoreline fishing!
by Robert A. -
Recently acquired a 7'6"; the rod performed impressively while fishing for Big-eye Scad at Waianae Coast, Island of Oahu. Was able to cast long distance with this rod to reach the school of Big-eye Scad. Better ceramic inserts will improve the quality of this rod.

I have purchase many of these rods in lite and ultra lite action and lengths. Excellent action, with backbone to take on bigger fish at reasonable price. Good for casting small lures and jigs. I buy them for family and friends. These rods perform as well as rods three times their price. excellent construction with perfect diameter handle. Fish USA has been my source for these rods to get the best price and free shipping is appreciated. Get a couple of these quality rods for gills and crappies, you won't be sorry. Fish on!
My Go-To Trout Rod
by JayM -
I have 2 of the 702L rods. Detects light bites when soaking bait from shore. Casts lures easily and far. I pair with a Shimano Symmetry 2500, and 6# Flouroclear and can cast all day. Recently been trolling spoons, minnows, and deep divers. You can easily see when your lure is working correctly and when it's fouled up by the action at the tip. When a fish hits you'll know it for sure. You'll get a great bend in the rod, but you can still manage the fish. The bend is necessary when pulling in larger or stronger fish. I've landed Trout up to 5 lbs and small Striper, cats, and even landed a small bat ray when fishing for mackerel off a pier. This is a great all around rod for small to medium sized fish.
Best Steelhead/Trout Rod Ever Owned and Outstanding Value
I don't mind spending money on fishing rods and had been looking for the perfect steelhead rod to fish the Erie tribs. As I was looking through the rods at the FISH USA store in Fairview, PA, I picked up a rod that looked and felt like it was exactly what I was looking for. It was the Okuma Celio 7 1/2 foot light trout rod. I knew I was going to purchase before I even looked at the price tag but was even more pleased when I saw the price tag of $34.99. I have been fishing for close to 50 years and this rod is by far the best value I have ever seen in a fishing rod. Lightweight, casts easy and far when matched with a light spinning reel with 4 lb test, and has a tremendous feel to it. Have landed Steelhead up to 12 pounds and have never had an issue. I also use this rod for trout on Big Pine Creek in central PA and have found that it allows me to cast extremely far distances when I need to. Love this rod so much I have since bought 3 more so that I have some for guests to use.
Broke first day out
by Groovey -
This rod is not a quality rod. On my first day out the rod almost broke in two, the only time I even used it I got snagged on a stump so if that's what broke it I might as well be fishing with a paper towel roll. Do not waste your money guys.
by Big Will
Never have I had an issue with this rod. I've had mine for a few years and really beat it up. I've caught everything from stockie trout to 4 pound smallies and even 20 plus pound carp. I absolutley love mine
Excellent budget rod. I have the 7ft light action, using it mainly as a panfish outfit paired with a Pflueger President 6930 spinning reel, and have caught perch, crappie, bluegill, bass and even a pike on it. Highly recommended!
Heaps of bang for your buck, Great Rod.
by Brown trout runner -
I mainly fish for trout in lakes and rivers and this rod really has the power needed to stop some of these wily fish in a tight stream or the bigger ones in the open water, and can flick some of the lightest lures with accuracy and precision. Overall a really great rod at a great price.
Very Happy with this rod!!!
by Steelie Dave -
I purchased two of these for Steelie fishing, and was extremely surprised to learn how much quality went into them. For the money, I was expecting much less!!! These were sensitive, yet had the backbone to muscle the big boys in. I had the noodle rod guys asking what kind of pole it was, and how much it cost!!!
Okuma Celilo Spinning Rods
by Walleye Hunter -
This rod works perfectly for jigging walleye and smallmouth bass in the local rivers. The balance and sensitive of this rod allows you to feel the lightest bites yet has the power to set the hook.
