Bought the CE-S-862ULa to cast 1/16 light weight lures and foam floats for trout. This thing is worthless. I can cast farther with a 5' ultralight. Wasted $54, save your money as this rod is useless except maybe for panfish.

I've had a ml for three years, have caught 20 +- silver salmon from shore with it. It's still going strong joints still tight. Caught 2 3-4 lbs slivers to day with it. Have another make rod same size and age I have to keep push the joint tight.
Perfect all around rod!
One of the best rods I've purchased. Light weight for a medium heavy rod! Good for float fishing for cats and it is also casts like a charm!
Nice feel, and casts well.

I primarily purchased this rod for casting into the surf. It casts well with bait and 1oz or 2oz sinkers. FishUSA packaged the rod well in shipping tube.
Best of Both Worlds

If your looking to get into salmon/stealhead fishing this is a must have. I purchased the 9'6" ML for fall salmon fishing on the Wisconsin tributaries as a college student. This rod has performed fantastic for both float fishing and launching shad raps exponentially further than any other rod I have owned. In short: this rod is cheap, great quality and versatile for both float fishing and throwing lures.
