I have not fished with it yet, but it seems plenty stout to run dipsys. I bought two rods, but one did not come with tags and there's a couple of minor scratches. Return? Showroom model? Not bad enough to return it, but a little disappointing. This is the forth rod in this series I've purchased and I think they present good value.

I bought the 8' medium to use as my downrigger rods on Lake Ontario. One of the ceramic guides was cracked when I opened the box but as per usual FishUSA sent me a new one and a return label quickly. Completely satisfied with FishUSA's response and making it right. The rods are perfect as I didn't want a rod that was like using a 2x4 but still had enough backbone to handle a king on Lake O. These fit the bill perfectly and can be doubled right over when loading them on the downriggers. Only caught a couple of coho's and one small king (13 lb) but they worked great and I'm confident these will be my go to rigger rods from now on. I'm already planning to purchase a couple more. Thanks FishUSA for the great customer service!
