Weeds and debris from the wind are safe havens for large fish, but it can be tricky to get into those weeds without getting snagged up. That's where the Northland Tungsten Punch Fly Jig comes in. This jig is made from Tungsten, which is significantly heavier than traditional lead, meaning when this jig hits the water it punches through the weeds 20% faster. That faster fall reduces the chance of getting snagged. The punch head is smaller than your average jig, which helps it make its way through weeds. The jig has a hand-tied body that perfectly mimics larvae, to tempt those fish into striking the second they see it. Haul in those trophy fish no one else can get with the Northland Tungsten Punch Fly Jig!

  • Falls 20% faster than traditional lead
  • Punch head is 20% smaller
  • Hand tied body with life-like larvae design
  • Wide gap hook is strong and sharp
  • Qty. per pack: 1

Northland Tungsten Punch Fly Jig is made in the U.S.A

Not just a ice fishing jig for panfish

by robert allison

I use these jigs in 3/32 0z with the #8 hook during the winter/spring steelhead run in the Rocky River here in Ohio when the water is usually tinged and flowing good with great success. The glow pink, orange, and glow chartreuse have all produced a lot of steelhead hook ups for me. I tip them with maggots or Berkley Gulp Alive waxies (pink on pink jig and natural on orange or chartreuse) The 3/32 0z size stays down in the quicker current without having to add split shot. I float them under a slip bobber set up and pull fish out when other guys fishing the popular maribu jigs aren't getting hits.
