Mason Tackle Lead Core Deep Water Trolling Line
Mason Lead Core Deep Water Trolling Line features a tough, abrasion resistant braided nylon over a lead core to insure quick sinking. This line has ten different specially dyed colors which change every ten yards so you can measure the length of lineout and water depths. This line is popular for use in the great lakes when targeting walleye and other game fish species.
At trolling speeds of 0.5 mph to 1.8 mph while using a ten foot monofilament leader, each six feet of line out will attain a diving depth of one foot. Each line color section will dive approximately five feet. Mason Lead Core Deep Water Trolling Line comes in 100 yard spools with ten colors.
Mason Lead Core Deep Water Trolling Line is made in the U.S.A.

Not as brittle as other leadcore lines Ive used. Spool up an okuma CV55L reel 10 color and backing and your good to go.

I use it for tolling when I dont need a down rigger. Use it for kokanee on the Columbia river and a few other kokanee lakes
10 color lead core

Would like to have had information on best way to connect to main line and to leader material. Also realized that I need a larger capacity reel to handle the full core.
Excellent trolling line but you are on your own learning it's technical specs.
This line is just what I needed and wanted for a lead core trolling setup. I can't fault the product at all but I sure will fault the lack of information about it. 100 yards has 10 different colors in 10 yard increments. Wouldn't it be nice to know what the lure depth will be for each 10 yard color you run out. Wouldn't it be good info to see the colors listed in color coded order that you have out and know how far back and how deep your lure should be running. Come on Mason, do your job! 3 colors out, White, Black and Violet and you are 30 yards back with the lure running about 15 feet deep at around 1.5 MPH. You give ZERO info in this regard.
