Double Haul

Definition of double haul

A casting motion for fly fishing used for greater casting distance, improved accuracy, and to cast in windy conditions. Traditionally used in saltwater fly fishing, this is also very useful in freshwater. The line-hand does two motions for every one motion of the rod-hand. It is considered hard to learn but easy to do once mastered.
