Great ice rod for the money

by -

This is a great rod for the money. I have them in 36, 30, 24 and 18. They are very good for perch and other panfish yet have the back bone to land larger fish such as walleye. I had one rod break at the tip so you have to really watch how you store them. I have many rods and usually end up using this one rather it be trout or other panfish.

LARGE ACTING ROD FOR LITTLE $

by

Own many(40+)ice fishing rods of many makes and sizes. My go-to rods are my ICE BLUES in 18" to 30",smaller rods used in the one-man shanty.Paired with any reel with decent drag and these rods are hard to beat-BAR NONE.Have landed PIKE 30-35" on the 18" with 4 lb.test fishing for gills. Can't go wrong for the price.

Love them for panfish!

Bought another one for myself in addition to the ones for my son and a friend

nice rods but need a more sensitive tip

These rods could stand a more lite action tip,the tip action extends too far down rod blank for blue gilling without a spring bodder.

36 inch Ice Blue Rods

by

I personally own 2 of the 36 inch ice blue rods. I have landed both small and large fish on them without any problem. I have caught a 9 lb stripped bass along with a 30 inch atlantic sea run salmon while ice fishing a frozen river for perch. Out of about 10 ice rods I own these are my favorite for setting light hits and the sportsmanship of playing large fish.

LARGE ACTING ROD FOR LITTLE $

Own many (40+) ice fishing rods of different makes and models. These are my go-to rods.Paired with a reel that has a decent drag and I think you will be surprised at the size of fish you can land. The 18" model is a great shanty rod and 24" and up for hole hopping.Try'em - you won't be disappointed.

To soft for me

by -

Purchased after 20 years of fishing with Schooley rods. Thought I would try. Rod is ok but doesnt have the strong backbone in it. The schooley rods have a soft tip with a stiff backbone for maximum hook setting power. I gave these to friend. Just not what I was hoping for. I guess it is called superflex so my fault.
