Great bang for your buck

by Eric -

Light action is plenty light enough for panfish and trout, cant find any issues with it especially for the price paid.

Decent rod

by Swabby -

It's a low priced combo meant to take the pain out of getting started ice fishing, in my opinion. Have not put in action yet but the drag seems too unreliable to use for larger game fish. I bought the medium action for use with a jawjacker type device. The rod seems strong as I gave it a good bend in the warmth of my home. I did not expect much with the price as I just wanted another cheap rod to add to the collection. I am mainly a tip up guy so the importance of a good ice jigging rod isn't important. I would recommend this product for someone who is just starting out and doesn't want to invest much in the sport yet. If your looking for that "go to set up" probably not the one you want.
