Product Details

The Garmin GPSMAP 8610xsv with Mapping and Sonar is serious equipment for those who fish, cruise, sail, and race upon the waters. The system includes a 10-inch full HD In-plane Switching (IPS) and can support multiple sunlight-readable touchscreen displays. As is, you get one display preloaded with both BlueChart g3 U.S. coastal and LakeVü HD maps (with Navionics data and Auto Guidance technology). Also, this is a full network capable unit with NMEA 2000 connectivity and to the Garmin Marine Network, plus built-in support for the full capabilities of Garmin sonar. Additionally, you get ANT technology and Wi-Fi networking, and a SmartMode station that controls access to the information you need quickly.

The GPSMAP 8610xsv chartplotter/sonar combo offers built-in support for Garmin sonar, including dual-channel 1 kW traditional CHIRP, ClearVü, and SideVü scanning sonars plus built-in support for Ultra High-Definition scanning sonar (no black box required). The combo unit also supports the entire Panoptix all-seeing sonar line (transducers sold separately). The GPSMAP 8610xsv enables fast map drawing, superior networking, video distribution, and more. With the built-in Wi-Fi technology, you can sync with the free ActiveCaptain app for access to OneChart, smart notifications, Garmin Quickdraw community data, and more. The unit can control video streaming from Garmin's GC 100 wireless camera and VIRB action cameras. Further connectivity is built-in to accommodate the ANT wireless system linking directly to Garmin watches, wireless transducers, marine instrumentation, and remote controls.

The chartplotter can control your marine electronics with the help of NMEA 2000 networking and the Garmin Marine Network — from radar and autopilots to cameras, instruments, and forward-looking sonar — and shared across multiple screens. Further, Garmin's OneHelm system synchronizes with many third-party onboard marine technology like lighting, digital switching, stabilization, and others to bring their control through the GPSMAP 8610xsv display.

If you're serious about building out a full-service marine electronics suite, investigate the networking ability and capabilities of the Garmin GPSMAP 8610xsv with Mapping and Sonar!
