Product Details

A Garmin GPSMAP 1242xsv without Transducer is an advanced all-in-one chartplotter that brings a bevy of automated navigation and fishing electronics to your control. You operate the system through a 12 in. color display with a keypad interface and a multifunction control knob. Share internal sonar with other compatible devices on the network. Also, you decide what information to overlay on the sonar screen; for example, radar, time of day, or GPS speed. The unit is equipped to support Garmin CHIRP sonar and CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü scanning sonars and provides a platform for Panoptix all-seeing sonar and LiveScope sonar as well. The GPSMAP 1242xsv works with these and many other transducers (all sold separately). Acquire the transducer which best suits your fishing needs and connect!

The Garmin chartplotter itself is preloaded with U.S. LakeVü g3 maps and BlueChart g3 charts. LakeVü g3 provides coverage on more than 17,000 lakes with up to one-foot contours. BlueChart g3 includes Auto Guidance, which uses your desired depth and overhead clearance to calculate routes and suggests paths to follow. Depth Range Shading and Shallow Water Shading visuals confirm target depth and keep you from running aground. You'll also find a highly sensitive internal 10 Hz GPS and GLONASS receiver, which tracks your position and heading 10 times each second and can let you drop up to 5,0000 waypoints accurately so that you can find your way back.

A GPSMAP 1242xsv also connects to the Garmin Marine Network to share sonar, maps, user data, and more. The network capability continues with NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 support for autopilots, digital switching, weather, media, VHF, AIS, and other sensors to bring information and control to you as you pursue your passions on the open waters. When paired with a compatible smartphone, Garmin's ActiveCaptain app enables smart notifications, software updates, the Garmin Quickdraw Community data, and more. As for your fishing interests, you can create your very own HD maps on the screen with one-foot contours. You own the fishing maps, which you can keep for your personal use or share with the Quickdraw Community.

Further connectivity is built-in to accommodate the ANT wireless system linking directly to Garmin watches, wireless transducers, marine instrumentation, and remote controls. The chartplotter even allows you to control and stream images from a VIRB camera! With all of these functions and more, you are fully connected, fully networked, and fully loaded with a Garmin GPSMAP 1242xsv without Transducer!
