Good for colder weather
by Joshua M
I purchased these last year to float fish for trout in WNY. It gets pretty cold and these are insulated, they worked perfectly and are super comfortable! I think these are great entry level and cold weather waders. Plenty of pockets and storage for my cell phone and case of beads and such. I definitely recommend them.
Way too big for me!
Very large fit. I am 6'1" 180lbs with an athletic build. I think these are meant for someone who has a wider girth than me. Went on a spring steelhead trip and got them out of the box to put them on. I seriously could just about put two of me in these things. I suppose this is due to them being meant for cold weather fishing and being bundled up. I had about 4 layers on top and flannel lined pants and the waders were still HUGE on me.
You can cinch the built in wader belt, and around the chest. It's not like it was draped off me, just that they are bulky and bunched up all over the place.
The waders are warm. The boots fit well. Ordered a size 11, usually wear a 10.5 or 11 shoe. Overall I think they are a good cold weather wader, but the fit is ridiculously large.
Giant sized Waders for Small sized feet!
Please make sure you read all the fine print when it comes to sizing for these waders. I was unfortunate enough to buy a pair and sized them as I've sized all my waders; by my boot size. Imagine my surprise when I got my new waders and tried on my perfectly fitting boot size (10) and began swimming in the rest of my waders. I am 6'1", 190 lbs and these waders were past my armpits. Turns out a size 10 boot has a 38" inseam. After some googling I found out that a person with a 38" inseam and 51" chest. This would make me about 6'8" and a size XXXL. The company refused a refund and said I would have to mail them back at my expense to get any sort of refund. Maybe you are a very tall bigger fellow out there with seriously small feet because these waders would be absolutely great for you. Otherwise I would steer clear.
Extremely warm waders!
I've been winter steelheading for 30+ years and have had many styles of waders and these are by far the warmest waders I have ever owned! I've only worn these for 6 trips so far so I can't speak for durability yet. I'm 6'3' 240 lbs and I ordered size 13. Plenty of room for layering. With 1600 grams of thinsulate my feet stay warm...finally. I don't think the boots are heavy at all. They don't seem any heavier than my korkers devils canyon wading boots. Traction in the water is not bad but i wish they would make them with receptacles for studs. Other than that these are the best bootfoot waders for winter fishing that I've ever had. Hopefully they hold up to the abuse I put them through :)
Good Cold Weather Waders
by R Stewart
Good cold weather waders for the money. Fit is quite big and the boots are heavy. Great for cold weather fishing but not for walking long distances.
