Best bang for the buck!

I have several of the Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth rods and love them, so since they don't make the "Smallmouth" rods any longer, I got this one for fishing shakey heads, smaller jigs, and various other plastics. It would also make a good jerkbait rod, IMO. I intend to try it on smaller minnow type lures as well. The extra fast tip is soft enough to cast it a mile, and gives enough when hooked up to avoid pulling the lure out of the fish's mouth. Plenty of backbone for bass of any kind, and would likely be a good choice for inshore specs, and even redfish, paired with the right reel. I have a Shimano Stradic Ci4+ HG 2500 on the rod and it is perfect for my uses. Very lightweight. These Elite Tech rods are as sensitive as rods I've had that cost twice + what this sells for. I now have seven of them in various sizes, both casting and spinning.
