Cost effective.

Great rod for the price. Medium-Light a bit on the medium side. Travel tube built for looks not efficiency. Very heavy vs Orvis etc. Backpackers will need alternate tube.

A touch light maybe? But the price is right!

Just received the rod. Ordered the 8'6. Initial observations? Actually lighter action than another rod I have in the same class (Daiwa 8'6 M ) Probably call it a ML? It does convey a bit of craftsmanship however I am pleased with breakdown ability of the rod. The carrier is a nice bonus.
