Nice rod for the money

While I have not yet caught a steelhead on this rod I have used it to catch a few decent rainbows and browns. I use it mostly with the bubble and fly method or for swinging streamers with a couple of split shot. The rod has just the action I was looking for. As a flyfisherman I bought this rod to cast out to where I can't reach on big rivers with my flyrod. It is definitely an ultralight action. Equivalent to my 5 or 6 weight fly rods. Looking forward to catching a steelie on it.

A veteran steel header recommended I spend A few bucks and get a steelhead rod because it would help with casting into best pools and taliouts as well as be better for getting unstuck from snags. He was right. I have lost far less tackle on bottom snags with this rod. It is lighter weight so I can use it with my utlralight reel or my medium reel.

Great rod for light line or big rivers

This rod is awesome. I was hesitant because of the price, but I used it on Sunday and landed two nice rainbows. Now I am convinced. I am very fussy about steelhead rods, but I especially like the "Michigan Handle". Light, sensitive and strong. I think I am going to buy another before they sell out.

Handles the Hogs!

This rod was exactly what I wanted: strong, solid backbone, but still sensitive enough to feel what is going on at the end of the line. For me this is the perfect rod for Fall River run salmon. Amazing price - this rod is a steal!
Good all-around beginners combo

Brought a first timer streamside and set him up with this combo. Sensitive enough to feel the fish and strong enough to land em'. Good value for the price.
Not sensitative enough for steelheads

Decent rod, great price but the tip is way too stiff for NY Steelheads... I going to try it on Jersey Stripers , it should be good for the 8 - 25 lb class.

Very impressed with this rod from the first Steelhead I had on with 2 lbs line. Nice....

I've been looking for a reasonably priced noodle rod for a while; this one fits the bill. It has already helped put fish on the dinner table...
