Excellent hooks for tying saltwater flies
by Marmot2 -
These are high quality hooks with the only complaint being that every so often one will have an eye that is not quite fully closed. That is a problem because it can allow very fine thread to slip off the shank and into the eye when tying close to the eye or finishing heads on flies. Getting the thread back out of the eye can fray the thread and allow it to break just as a fly is being finished which is not an insurmountable problem but it's a pain having to deal with it.
Excellent for deceivers

These hooks are excellent for fresh or salt water deceiver patterns. I like the wide hook gap for largemouth and smallmouth bass. I always squeeze the barb down and have never broken a hook doing so. Very good product.
