DAM used the same low visibility yellow-green color that is so characteristic for Tectan in this new Tectan Superior Line.

  • UV-protective surface treatment
  • Low visibility, adaptive yellow-green color
  • Silk smooth surface for limited resistance
  • Ultra-strong knot strength
  • Low memory
  • Optimized abrasion resistance

Not sure what the deal is. This line acts like it's old, there are three trout in the river with Rapala's in them I almost got to the boat then *snap*. I also used jigs on another rod and same thing happened. Super disappointed about this line.

Tectan Monofilament Line

The Tectan Line works fine and durability seems to be great so far.

Great product! Will be my only line to use.

Use to use Trielene XL which is not bad at all. But this is my go to line from now on even though it's a bit pricey ! Cast so smooth! Try it-you like it !

Dissapointed on the performance of TECTAN 38.2 lbs test line

by -

I bought 38.2 lbs Tectan fishing line after read many reviews. I am very disapointed in this line. The line snapped off after short fight of about 25 lbs salmon in Tomales Bay, Ca. I can't belived how weak the line was. It snapped right infront of my eye when I brought the fish close to the boat. I was impressed how small it was compared to my 40 lbs Trilene line when I just recieved it, but completely dissapointed of its performance. Do not use this line for big fish. you will get upset when you lost the fish.

The best fishing line there is!

This is seriously the best mono fishing line there is. Outstanding casting, no stiffness or memory. Great knot strength and resistance to nicks or cracking Very low visibility.
