Cajun Red Cast Monofilament Line - 1/4 lb. Bulk Spools
Cajun Red Cast Monofilament Line - 1/4 lb. Bulk Spools packs a lot of features for a great price. The color red is the first color to be completely filtered out by water. This means that once Cajun line goes under water, it starts to become "invisible" to fish in as little as three feet of water! All the fish see is the lure or bait. The Cajun Red Cast Monofilament line is also incredibly durable and abrasion resistant.
- Disappears in as little as three feet of water
- Low memory for better cast control
- Minimal line stretch for maximum hook setting power
- Extra limp formula for smooth, long distance casts
- Perfect for fishing with any type of reel

I use mono for tightlining whitefish in the fall (4 lb. test) and for soft water bluegill fishing. I like the red color for tying small diameter lines to very small hooks and swivels. I run floro leaders to the hooks in very clear water. I have not found a better light mono than this line.

HAVE BEEN USING REDLINE FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS NOW. IT SEEMS TO HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THE AMOUNT OF CRAPPIE AND WHITEBASS I CATCH. THE LINE IS EXTREMELY STRONG AND DOESNT HAVE TOO BAD OF A MEMORY. I CAN USUALLY GET BY, BY FISHING WITH 4LB. TEST LINE. AT NIGHTIME I USUALLY SWITCH TO 8 LB. DONT KNOW FOR SURE WHAT I WILL CATCH AND WANT TO GET FISH IN BOAT QUICKER, SINCE I CANT SEE HANGUPS AS EASILY.
CATCHES FISH, THEN AGAIN IT'S ONLY LINE

We use in manufacturing area to splice textiles & it works great. The only drawback is that it is sometimes hard to get. This is only site where I can find it consistently.

Makes good harnesses

Agree with previous comments... NOT made in USA...made in CHINA. How can they get away with saying it's made in the USA, then says right on the spool MADE IN CHINA.?! If you can get past that, it works nice to tie crawler harnesses...20# will usually straighten your hook on snags so you don't lose your spinners & beads.
We continue to buy this product

We use to splice material for sewing in our manufacturing process - product is strong and visible to the eye. Only drawback is that it is hard to get sometimes. We order 30 to 40 rolls at a time.

I have used this line for a few years I do like it and it is good line. A little hard to see but it is very durable and cast really well. I use it for steelhead and salmon and the line has never let me down. Although this is my first year to really pursue winter steelhead I consider myself a rookie steelheader but it's all about learning and enjoying being on the rivers.
I will buy this product again and again

Great fishing line for a small price!

Due to the strong material use in Cajun Red Cast line, I find it well suited for night fishing around the Hawaiian Reefs for Jacks and Snappers. This line don't break easy when it encounters sharp corals.
Great for Hawaii's Reef Fishing!
I use the Cajun Red Cast line for Hawaiian Scad Mackeral fishing during the day and for Hawaiian Soldier Fish and Red Bigeyes during night fishing with good results due to the low memory for long casting, resistance to abrassion from sharp coral reefs, and strength.
Fish can't see it!

This line goes invisible in less than 1 foot of water, and this is all I been using in the rivers since it came out!

i use the product tightlinig for catfish bass fishing and it never fails hold up really tought to break had a couple snags in the water and the line took for ever to break
Not all that great...
I fished this for a week on the St.Lawrence in upstate NY. It has very low visibility under 10ft. of water, but it gets scratched up. The monofilament went from smooth to rough and was wearing down in just a week. I ended up loosing a nice lure on a cast...I let it go and the line snapped from becoming so weak. I'll stick to regular monofilament for now. (The stuff I had was the 25lb. test)

Big spool of 8 lb monofilament red fishing line

I don't fish, but I use monofilament fishing line for gridding my counted cross stitch. I stitch Heaven And Earth Designs (HAED) and they usually have lots of confetti and many, many colors. I have finished 10 so far and have another 8 in various stages of stitching/progress. It might seem strange that I use fishing line for this, but I don't trust pens/pencils to wash out and thread can be pierced. There is a product made by DMC that sells for $9 - 12 for 100 yards, I was able to get this for $13.90 (including s/h) for 1600 yards. This is a fantastic deal and I definitely will recommend others to buy this for gridding. I had a 110 yd spool before but couldn't find it. This meets all my needs and will last me a long time. I don't know how it is for fishing, but for counted cross stitch, it's fantastic!
