At a Glance: Copolymer
Copolymer fishing line is usually comprised of at least two types of nylon. Some brands and types of copolymer also have a little bit of fluorocarbon mixed in. Unlike monofilament line, copolymer does not retain memory well, so there is less of a risk of the line looping or tangling when cast. The process in which this line is put through removes most, if not all, imperfections from the line, creating an extremely transparent product. Copolymer line is great in most water conditions and when fishing for pretty much any type of fish. Some brands and specific lines are geared towards different situations, so make sure to read the individual product description for more in-depth information.
Brands of copolymer fishing line available at FishUSA include Berkley, Gamma, P-Line and Yo-Zuri.
