best steelhaed rod on the market for drifting
by kdog
I have the 9'6" med. Great feel and it works good with little weight. In my year of fishing and using alot of rods it is the top. The big money rod are over rated !!! Sensitive is like know other. It is good for salmon too but it is a little lite for big ones
Graet Choice

I bought both, the 9' Light and 9' Medium action, Found the light a bit too light for the salmon in Pulaski with the river running fast. Plan to use it for Steelhead a bit later in the year. I use the medium for Salmon and love it. Actually broke it 3 wks later, my fault ! FishUSA replaced it, no charge ASAP !
Light n Easy

I bought this 10'9" rod as a standby for my other 10'6" rod but this rod performed better than I expected. I use it now as my primary rod for light surf fishing. It is very light and I can cast farther. It is very sensitive with a moderate action.
very good rod

Surf Fishing in SD

Use the IM8 for surf fishing. I got the 8'6 and it really adds some distance to the cast when using from the beach. So far has worked well and has caught Barred Surf Perch, Corbinas and even a small leopard shark.
Would buy this rod again

A lot of rod for the money!

I've caught all kinds of Pacific Salmon (up to 25 pounds...the bigger ones outsmarted me) river fishing with this rod. It's my best rod, but not my most expensive rod!
Incredible rod for the $

Great rod. I have hammered chinooks to 44 lbs and steelhead as well as chrome (coho) on this rod. I like the long version and although rated for 6# test I spool it up with 17 to 20 for chinooks. I have had full on drag with the tip 4 feet below the butt and this rod will not break. Great for finesse with steel, and brute force with kings.
