Berkley Cross-Lok Snaps
Details
Berkley Cross-Lok Snaps allow you to change lures quickly and easily. The Cross-Lok Snaps are constructed of non-glare matte black finished stainless steel making them corrosion resisitant. The wire-over-wire locking design makes these snaps extra tough, holding strong even under pressure.

Strong snap!
The way i use them perhaps

I purchased the smallest ones, and perhaps its the way that I use them, but on a day of multiple lure changes I wore one out and snapped another in two. I know I man handle things, but this size offers the best in terms of light weight and no interference when casting/retrieve. Also, I know the action seemed to be reduced on Rapala's but I think this happens with all snaps. I just don't like tying knot after knot and then new leader when that becomes too short.

These are my preferred snap. Duo-lock snaps are problemmatic for me, they seem to come open by themselves leading to lost lures and lost fish. Not so with the Berkeley cross-loks. They are very strong, even the smallest (my preferred size) being 30 pound test. They are compact and low profile, creating a minimum of distraction for your presentation. They are a bit fiddly to get on and off, especially with cold fingers, but I believe this is a small price to pay for a snap that won't come open by itself. The tip of these snaps is quite narrow, so they are not suitable for some spoons that have the attachment point being a drilled hole through thick metal.
