- Technique: allow the Bead Head Caddis Larva Nymph to drift along the streambed using a strike indicator or as a dropper to a dry fly which will act as your indicator; cast upstream in the standard manner or send across as you might present a nymph; it wouldn't hurt to let the line tighten, then flick and mend to get the pattern back into a dead drift
