Nice glo, moderate action

by

I tried this out ice fishing before dawn. The glow is good and bright. The construction is solid and the paint is robust. Mine was gold/brass on the backside, which I didn't expect but I'm not disappointed. The action is kind of boring compared to the swedish pimple whose slender shape it represents. It planes and falls when jigged, but there isn't much flutter to the fall. Still more action than a simple jig, but I'd say less action than a standard kastmaster 1/8 oz (which I've caught dozens on). I think it will catch fish with a plastic or waxworm on, but I don't think it does anything special to make fish bite it unbaited.

5 stars for quality and construction, 4 for color (only painted on one side) and 3 stars for action.

I'll keep trying it in the predawn hours and see what the fish think. No catches yet, but I'll update if that changes.
