Fly Fishing Outfits
The Redington Wayfarer fly fishing outfits feature the premium Redington Wayfarer travel fly rod with a Redington GD (for "Gear Drag") reel, a one-piece carrying case, Redington floating weight-forward fly line, backing and a tapered leader. The reel comes in a cordura case within the outfit case itself. The rod comes in a rod sock which is also within the outfit case itself.
The rods in the outfits come in both five piece and seven piece models. The five piece models are designated "WFR5", and the seven piece models are designated "WFR7". The "O" designation (as in "OWFR") designates that this is an "outfit". All the models in weights 2 through 6 have the wood reel seat insert, and all the models in weights 7 through 10 have the stainless reel seat and a small (non-removable) fighting butt. These handles are shown in the images below.

The GD reel included in the outfit is Redington's best seller. It is made of anodized machined 6061 barstock aluminum, and is a "mid arbor" style (between a regular arbor and a large arbor reel). The "GD" stands for its stainless gear drag mechanism that includes a cork drag washer. The reels in these outfits are the silver color GD model. If you would prefer a black GD reel, please contact us promptly after the order is placed.
There outfits are shipped free in the U.S.A. We will also throw in a free Redington hat with each Wayfarer outfit ordered!
