RIO Powerflex GSP Fly Line Backing

RIO Powerflex GSP backing is 100% gel spun polyethylene, not a blend of GSP and nylon. This premium backing has very low stretch, excellent abrasion-resistance and small diameter for less drag when fighting fish and fewer break offs. It has incredible strength - ten times stronger than steel for the same diameter and it increases reel capacity by 80% for the same strength.

100 yards of 30 lb. standard Dacron backing equals 180 yards of 30 lb. of RIO Powerflex GSP backing.

We carry this backing in 30 pound test. It comes in a 200 yard spool.
