The Okuma Epixor is a tournament-grade spinning reel at an affordable price. Pushing the limits of what can be expected from a reel, Okuma introduces a distinctive tournament reel of exquisite quality and precision. This ultra-smooth reel features ten ball bearings, and eight ball bearings on the rear drag models.
This reel is destined to set the standard for performance at a reasonable cost. It does have an unbelievable smooth feel, and the bail stops instantly for immediate hook-sets. All of these reels are front-drag models except the ER20, which is a rear drag model.
Features of the Epixor models include the following:
- Okuma's "Rotor Equalizing System" which is computer designed to eliminate rotor wobble and vibration
- Okuma's "QuickSet" infinite anti-reverse one-way bearing
- Front drag: 9+1 sealed stainless steel ball bearings for ultra-smooth operation
- Rear drag: 7+1 sealed stainless steel ball bearings for ultra-smooth operation
- Rotor equalization system
- Micro adjustable rear drag
- Lightweight CNC machined aluminum spool
- Stainless steel Titanium coated spool tip
- One touch foldable handle (available on the ER-20 and EF-50 only)
- Helical cut brass pinion gear
- High quality multi-disc felt and stainless steel drag washers
- Water tight drag seal that keeps the drag smooth even in wet conditions
- Oversized ceramic line roller
- Corrosion resistant Titan graphite construction
- Reversible right and left hand retrieve
Each model includes a spare spool.
The Model EFS-30 and EFS-50 are the same as the EF-30 and EF-50, respectively, except the EFS-30 and EFS-50 have a high-speed retrieve with a 6.3:1 gear ratio.
