G. Loomis GL3 9' 8 wt. Fly Rod

Model FR1088

This 9' 8 weight is a versatile, medium-heavy outfit suited to larger flies and floating or sinking lines. It's the number one choice among saltwater anglers for flats fishing, as it's capable of handling the predominant flies used in that environment. The GL3 has a stiffer, more punchy feeling than the GLX. This is also a popular rod for larger steelhead fishing on the Great Lakes tributaries. It has Loomis handle 53, which has a small fighting butt.
