 great product
Pros: works well
Comments: After reading previous reviews i put a sheet of newspaper between the felt sole and the duct tape so the tape would not stick to the felt. It worked great . No fuzz when i took the tape off. I would definately recommend this product
 Compleat Angler Woven Felt Soles
Pros: Good product
Comments: I have not field tested the new soles but the bond seems to be a good one and the felt is certainly quality. I would definately follow the directions exactly as specified. I would not recommend cutting out the soles first but trim after the glue has tempered as per directions. Once the felt has adhered to the heel it is permanent and can't be adjusted. The supply of glue is ample so extra glue is not needed.

 Careful with tape
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Delamination
Comments: The box instructions recommend you secure the soles after gluing with tape. I used duct tape, but when I was removing it, I pulled some of the laminations of the sole apart. After that, I was very slow and deliberate in removing the tape, and I had no further problems other than a little fuzzing of the sole. So, take care in removing the tape after the glue sets!

 Directions that worked
Pros: Good product
Cons: Option for separate Heel
Best Uses: Hip Boots
Comments: My wife's hip boots were made in the USA and had separate heels. The tread on both was like a running shoe, with lots of nooks and crannies for glue. That is probably why the older felt soles lasted over 20 years. For the new soles and heels. I used a bench grinder to remove/trim the extra sole material. It worked like a charm.
