Only gold and silver quarter ounce
Pros: They work

Comments: The Thomas Cyclone in Gold or Nickel 1/4 oz. is the best dog-gone trout lure there ever was. The 1/4 oz. has the weight to cast out there and the correct warbling action. I have caught fish smaller than the lure on them, so you DON'T need anything smaller. Anything smaller will not cast correctly or move correctly. Nickel and Gold are the only colors you need to buy. (Don't bother with the Gold/Red. Get the gold one with the red spots and white spots. Yep, the one that's always out of stock.) I do not ever remember catching trout on anything else, except maybe Copper - when I didn't have a gold or nickel left in my lure box. The only other good lure is the Thomas Colorado in 1/4 ounce. It is almost the same as the Cyclone and works just as well. Forget the Rooster Tails, Mepps and Panther Martins. If you want to catch trout anywhere, use the three lures I just talked about. My red brothers sometimes put a nightcrawler on them for even better results, but I don't bait fish any more. Buy as many of these lures as you can afford whenever you find them, because most retail locations don't even know about them. If I'm wrong, you can hunt me down and shoot me.

 Trout can't resist
Pros: Casts easily, Versatility, great color selection
Best Uses: Trout anywhere in California
Comments: These are great lures for trout. Don't forget to use a duo snap with these spoons just like all Thomas Spoons. Plus the added benefit of knowing you got a great price from FishUsa.com. They are my go to store for fishing tackle.

 Love the Cyclone and Colorado
Pros: Versatility
Cons: Treble hooks
Best Uses: Trout anywhere in California
Comments: My go to lure. It is out-fishing my gold Rapala and Gulp Minnows combined (21-13). Seems to work fast moving water better than the Colorado. Impervious to wind. My go to lure on the North Fork of the Stanislaus from Big Trees Park up to Ramsey's Meadow.
