Thomas Buoyant Spoon

Thomas Buoyant Spoons

Description

Thomas Buoyant Spoons are erratic-action wobblers that imitate the darting motion of a frantic, fleeing baitfish. This action entices strikes from even the wariest of trout or salmon, and many other types of game fish. The largest size spoon is especially deadly on northern pike.

Buoyant lures feature jewelry quality finishes and a durable construction. These lures can be cast and trolled, in deep or shallow waters, using a moderately slow speed to achieve the most effective action. An occasional sharp twitch of the rod tip can draw some hard strikes.

Thomas Buoyant Spoons are made in the U.S.A.

 Black nickel color is awesome!
Pros: Great action and color
Best Uses: trout in lakes
Comments: I use 1/6 oz black nickel spoon for trout fishing in clear water lakes and this color beats all other spoons by a wide margin. A must have spoon for targeting pressured trouts in clear water lakes. I have out fished bait fishermen many times with this spoon. A truly great spoon for right conditions.

 Deadly on Pickeral
Comments: We use these on the Finger Lakes in the 5/8oz size. We smash the pickerel on the Gold and Chartreuse patterns. Also, pick up an occasional northern and tiger musky. Many lures have their peaks then fade away on the finger lakes, but these have been perennial producers. Did surprisingly well on largemouth at Erie using a 1/2oz gold. Side Note: I placed my order on a Wednesday evening and my spoons were in my mailbox on Friday with the standard shipping. Great job FishUSA!

 Killer in the Eastern Sierra
Pros: Great Value
Cons: Treble Hooks
Best Uses: Trout
Comments: Thomas bouyants seem to consistently catch trout at our local lakes as well as the Eastern Sierra. I have had the best luck with Red/Gold and Perch, but the other colors seem to catch as well. The only thing I have against these lures are their hooks. They seem to bend quite a bit so I replace them with a Owner Treble Hook (Size #8). Aside from that, they are a great value and will catch you many fish. I'd definitely recommend them.
 Great for lake trout
Pros: trout
Comments: Got a few good trout jigging on Jocassee with this lure.

 Great Rainbow Trout Lure
Pros: Nice Unique Action

 Best in shallows
Pros: Great action, Gold is great
Cons: Treble hook, Size
Best Uses: Trout in shallow runs
Comments: Go to spoon for shallower runs/riffles. Have to cut off 2 of the hooks to minimize snags. Wish it was also available 1-2 sizes SMALLER.

 Simple, Effective bait
Pros: ease of operation-a novice can catch fish
Comments: The Thomas Bouyant Spoon is a lure that I have used in a limited application for trout on the White River in north central Arkansas. I find it to be extremely effective in that stretch of water. My son had never float fished before, and was captivated by the surroundings as we made our way down the river, but his favorite thing was the ease with which he was able to use the spoon with great success. The price here is competitive with pretty well everywhere I've looked as well.
