 Outstanding rod for the money.
Pros: sensitivity, great casting, value
Best Uses: spoon fishing, jigging, Salmon and Steelhead
Comments: This is a high end featured baitcasting rod for a great price. Beautiful dark green color, very nice feel and I love the nice strong base and handle along with the extra sensitive tip. The feel and casting of this rod is spectacular. 5 stars all the way. Anything attached to Gary Loomis is destined to be outstanding and this is no exception. I picked up the medium 9 ft rod and couldn't be more satisifed.
 Great rod, great price
Pros: Price and quality, Overall quality and great price
Best Uses: Salmon and Steelhead
Comments: This rod is exactly what I had hoped for. I will use it for Salmon starting the end of this month. I have used Loomis rods for a number of years and after receiving my TFO 905-2 casting rod I was amazed at the overall quality of this rod. It actually feels like a Loomis and it casts like one too! I have already taken it out for some testing and I'm totally pleased with it. The blank is light as a feather, has lot's of energy and it feels like it has plenty of backbone, as well. I casted 7/8 and 5/8 ounce spinners with a Shimano Chronarch reel with 15 lb.test line and found that it casts long and straight and really feels comfortable to hold and cast. What a great value for 1/3 the price of my Loomis rods.

 Great trout rod
Pros: great control, great casting
Cons: not easy to find a case for it
Comments: I bought this rod because my brother had gotten one for his retirement. He let me use his once and I was impressed wtih it. It is 9' 6" but that gives it better control for when you get a fish on the line and bringing it to the net. Casting is also impressive and gives double the length than I had with my previous rod. I recommend this rod very much to the trout fisherman out there.

 Absolutely AWESOME!!!! Rod
Pros: sensitivity, backbone, lightweight
Best Uses: steelhead
Comments: I picked up the 9' med action rod and can not recommend this enough. I have been a Loomis fan for years, but my main rod will be this TFO rod. Great sensitivity and a super solid backbone. Absolutely amazing for 1/3 the cost of a Loomis. I could not be happier!
