Sufix 832 Advanced Superline

Description

Sufix 832 Advanced Superline is the strongest, most durable small diameter braid on the market. Sufix's R8 precision braiding and fiber technology provides superior strength, roundness, and line consistency. Sufix 832 is constructed of 8 fibers in total, including 7 Dyneema fibers and 1 GORE performance fiber with 32 weaves per inch. The GORE performance fibers improve abrasion resistance, increase casting distance and accuracy, and reduce line vibration. The Dyneema fibers provide high strength and sensitivity, hydrophobic water-repellent protection, and a small overall line diameter.

Sufix 832 Advanced Superline features a much thinner diameter than monofilament.

Features of Sufix 832 Advanced Superline include:

  • Featuring GORE performance fiber
  • R8 precision braiding technology
  • Patent-pending construction with Dyneema fibers
  • Unbeatable strength
  • Abrasion resistance
  • Superior casting distance
  • TPG technology enhances color retention

Great in the light pound tests for spinning (from prior model)
Pros: Handles well, Casts great, Resistant to twist and wind knots, Great sensitivity, Smooth and silent through the guides, Ties good knots, Easier to manage
Best Uses: Trout and bass fishing
Comments: I have tried a number of other braids and while some cast well enough they are either rough and noisy, not very resistant to twist, susceptible to wind knots or have too much body to cast well and way over test. I have found that 832 casts extremely well, handles well, is reasonably abrasion resistant and works great for spinning applications with a fluorocarbon leader. I use the 6 lb. test for big river trout and the 10 lb. for river smallmouths and and walleyes. I am on my second year of use with two oF my spools so it holds up well. The only drawback is the waxy coating that all braids come with to protect the color which fades anyway. It takes a trip or two before you achieve maximum casting distance due to this coating. Line conditioner helps and once the coating is gone it handles and casts great. I also think it takes some continued use for the Gore fibers to start helping to make the line slicker. If you have one of the new spinning rods with the small guides designed for braid applications then 832 will help your rod become a real braid launcher.

A MUST HAVE FOR ANY FISHERMAN
Pros: Casts well, Smooth casting, Strong, Durable, Quiet
Cons: "The Price"
Comments: Using - Shimano IX 4000R IX R Spinning Reel - Rhino Fishing 7-Feet Medium Heavy Cast Fishing Rod (2-Piece) w/ Glow Tip bought the 832 50 lb and love it. this line is a must for everyone. in 3 months i have gone through 2 other lines cuz i fish 4 out of 7 days. the lines were 17 lb ULTRACAST ULTIMATE MONO by spider wire and stren 20 lb high vis green. the ultra cast was nice but the line nested all the time. drove me up the wall. however its strong and doesnt stretch. got caught on a 4 inch downed tree and pulled the whole tree up. still it nests bad. fed up and i cut it. got the stren spooled it. first 2 weeks i hated it. it didnt cast out but like 5 feet with just worm and hook. my brother casting same bait 10 feet +. hit the 3 week sunday in back yard and pull out a 11 lb 4 oz large mouth bass. half the size of me and im 5' 10". from mouth to gill was the same size as my head. have a great pic. must see. still casts terrible. fed up i bought the 50 braided. didnt need to replace line but i did. spooled it and WOW. AMAZING. it casts! its strong! it doesnt nest! and best is the 50 lbs is the same size as mono 12 lb in thickness. which is great. been using it for 2 weeks now and line has faded really fast. but im fishing from like 6 am till 10 pm and i can still see it at night. and sometimes my shimano reel doesnt reel the line correctly. it like a 1/16" that the line doesnt touch on top or bottom of the reel. so the line will sometimes snag on itself when ur casting. it rolls in and sticks. it needs to be spooled tightly. but all in all. I LOVE IT. i wouldnt trade it. its expensive but u get what u pay for. even caught an Alligator gar and brought it right out no problem. bass r no match. ive got it caught 3 times now and bent the hook straight before line popped. like i said i LOVE IT. i will buy this in the future.

Pros: Great Design, Easy To Use, Durable
Cons: Costly
Best Uses: Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing
Comments: So i bought this at this site before it even had reached our market. Fishing for Trout and Artic Char i small rivers and lakes and for sea-run trout and Atlantic Salmon in our fjords. Small spoons from 4-12 grammes weight on the 6" line in freshwater and spoons up to 30 grammes and bombarda type floats and bait with the 10" line in the salt. Line has stood up very well both in regards to decolorisasation and general wear n`tear. I fish a lot,"clocking" 155 trips last year. I use a 9 feet Shimano Aspire CX Spinning 270L lureweight 3-14 gram in sweetwater and the 11 feet Shimano Aspire CX Spinning 330ML, lureweight 14 - 40 grammes for the sea-run trout and smaller Atlantic Salmon. Reels are Shimano Stella and Twin Power CI4 spinning reels. Have just bought the new PowerPro Super8Slick for a comparason and will get back with that in the late summer. Tight lines and best regards from Norway. @lystfiskern on Twitter & Facebook
