About Me:

This swim bait has very realistic look and it performs great when fishing for bass and walleye. My only complaint is that because of its soft texture it is very easy for eyes to get ripped right out after a few bass hookups. But they have great action and they do catch fish.
Pros: casts far, good action
Cons: too fragile
Best Uses: bass and walleye

This is the first time that I did not like product made by Storm. I have used 3" and 4" storm swim bait with great success so I decided to try a 2" version and unfortunately I was very disappointed, it did not swim strait, and it would run to the side, it looked like there is something seriously wrong with it. Maybe I just got a bad batch. I guess I will stick with the 3" size.
Pros: none
Cons: did not perform well

Awesome bait great for lingcod I have used them for years...only two small problems,,,one is the wrapping they once came 4 to a package like a zip lock bag and cost $3.49. Now they are 3 in a shrink wrapped molded plastic deal that have several pieces that are easily blown into the water for $8.76 ( that's the store price if you can ever find them in a store ) fishusa's price is good but storm has pulled the greed card out of the bag selling less of them making less of them to keep the price inflated
Pros: Life like action

WEll there is but one thing to say they catch fish and usualy they are good fish. 30lb spider wire7' 10" rod , I always use a large split ring instead of directly tying to the hook. I always use the solid body baits just like the wat they perform and for me they seem to last alot longer and stay together. When I cast them out I most generally let them sink to the bottom, especially casting over long points. Always make long cast. The retrieve well you will have to figure that out it changes but when you do , be ready. You will notice in the picture I was using mono, I learned

If you are not fishing these you are really missing the boat. The only thing I have found is that fish sometimes short strike and it pulls on the tail but alittle super glue will fix it. I have actually put fish in the boat holding onto the body its self. I fish the 5 and 6 in. I only use the chartruse shad with 7ft 6" rod med heavy 30lb. spider wire let it go to the bottom then slow roll it back mostly over points and hold on it is a very ferrosuss bite or how ever you spell it. Hold on Good Luck The big baits seem to work the best.Good Fishing-- BIGFISH

Storm is having terrible trouble getting product out. They have reduced ther weight of the lure, reduced the packaging to 3 per pack, and incresed the price. They have dropped some colors like rainbow and the old fire tiger. I hope they can get their act together. Coleman bought Storm about a year ago. Everything Coleman touches goes bad. A real pity.

I went on a party boat, the Middlebank II in CT, with my wife and daughter...we originally were using diamond jigs to fish for bluefish with no luck...I switched our lines to use these lures and all hell broke loose...my wife reeled in a 30in bass and a blue both swallowed this 5in lure whole...me and my little girl had several hits, mostly blues who ripped off the tail of the lure. If this lure had an additional hook on tail who know how many we would have landed. I went thru 6 of these lures in 3 hrs...the fish kept ripping the tail off. All we did was drop to bottom and move left to right and they hit it.

Most people would not believe the sizes of the fish that will aggressively take this large bait. Some are not much bigger than the bait itself. Large fish will hit this bait hard and heavy so hold on. It is very effective in any threadfin or gizzard shad lakes. This is one of my first purchases from Fish USA and I am impressed with their customer attention.

Where there's current, there are fish. I've caught numerous stripers and specks with these lures. The small 4" catches specks and stripers whether your fishing next to bridges or currents on the beach. This is the best lure you can buy for your money for fishing on the shore. The fish are waiting to ambush small bait fish swimming past them. The storm baby bass and bunker are my favorite. Cast them into the current or next to a bridge pile on and reel in slow to moderate speed. Fish right before dark, fish under lighted structure on a strong outgoing tide. I've caught stripers since October to the end of the season and these lures are the only thing i can count on... They're also inexpensive, so buy several packs because you will lose several to snagging submerged structure. Works best for shore fishing. U won't find an experienced onshore striper fisherman without these in his tackle.. Winter 2009, chespeake bay

About Me:
Avid Fisher
My first choice when bait casting for fishing in back bays, brackish waters where a number of different species of fish are found. But it is great in both fresh and salt water. Looks real and easily fools fish just by simply reeling in the lure, but if you experiment with different speeds to adjust depth, fast starts and stops - smashing strikes often occur. Can be fished tandem by tying a double surgeons knot or blood knot for superb fishing. I've easily limited-out doing this and caught and released over a 100 fish a day . . . also catching two fish at a time, both Reds & specks in Louisiana. Striped bass smashed the heck out of it in Rhode Island too, along with blue fish. I've caught a brown trout (once), catch & release - not trying, just farting around trying a new bait casting rod after fly fishing one evening, good 20" fish though. Bass like it just as well too. The only down side is that it is not very durable depending on the species of fish, i.e. teeth, because it is soft plastic. I can usually catch about 5 to 10 reds, depending on how I hook them, and sometimes up to 20 specks on one lure. Then again, if I hook the fish wrong, the lure could be ripped open with only one fish, but this is the exception to the rule. I've even caught blue fish in Rhode Island on them and caught several before they shredded it to pieces, using a good clean hook set, and I have never used a steel leader, either. My father uses it jigging to catch bass. It is quite versatile and can be worked in a variety of ways - up to your imagination. Finally, An inexperience fisherman could easily use this lure to catch fish too. I smash the barb for easy releases, just keep tension and set my drag properly to play the fish. This may help to make the lure last a little longer too, and may be kinder on the fish? The action is great!
Pros: Irresistible to Fish, Easy To Store, Good For Variety Of Fish, Fish Don't Escape, Looks Realistic, Easy To Handle
Cons: Not very Durable
Best Uses: Salt Water, Fresh Water
