Storm ThinFins

Description

Storm ThinFins have an erratic darting action that is produced by its long sides and deep body. The ThinFin is a shallow running crankbait that is great for a variety of game fish. The body shape and action imitates many forage fish such as shad, shiners and herring. The pronounced scale patterns give the lure added flash attracting more gamefish. Great for use on bass, walleye and other gamefish.

 Nice action, and loud
Comments: Hit a bass and walleye within a few minutes of trolling this bait. Looks a little goofy but definitely works.

 Love My Thin Fins
Pros: Great for walleye.
Cons: Hooks are a little fragile
Comments: I discovered Thin Fins a few years ago and bought a few for my yearly trip to Cabonga Resevoir in Quebec for walleye and northern pike. I ended up catching some really nice walleyes and now use them almost exclusively. On our trip to Cabonga last week we caught and released over 140 walleye and northern pike all caught on Thin Fins. I even had 2 perch on one lure. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 fish is the hooks bent and broke very easily. Although all colors seem to work we were most successful with Perch, Hot Tiger and Red(orange). I would highly recommend these lures.

 Great Lure
Pros: Good mid depth crank bait
Cons: The bill is fragile
Comments: I've been using this lure since the 1970s to fish for black bass. It's the best single lure for bass, I have in my tackle box.

 Shallow water go-to
Pros: price, color choice, size choice
Cons: bait can be hard to tune
Comments: Was reminded last summer during extreme shallow-water walleye bite what a great performer the ol' Thin Fin was. So, when time came to restock and add a new color or two, FishUSA was my choice. Choice of sizes and colors is very good--as is price! Have used Thin Fins for probably 40 years when situation called for them. Just remember to sharpen the hooks before using.

These are just like the originals with new colors...
Pros: Great action
Cons: a bit light for long casting
Comments: Contrary to one reviewer who said the originals had rattles, they did not have rattles. These lures are the same as the original ones, but have sexier color patterns. I have caught bass consistantly with these thinfins for years, and am glad to have them back again!!

 Why No Rattles ??
Comments: Promoted by the Mfr as return of the "original" which had rattles but these do not . Fall steelhead prefer rattles. And the Deep Rattlin' model goes to deep for rivers.

 Great spring walleye bait
Pros: It swims good
Best Uses: Trolling for walleyes
Comments: While these are not commonly used as walleye baits, we gave them a shot during the spring opener on Green Bay and they were hottest bait. They are perfect for running in shallower waters and provide a unique action. They are great choice when forage is smaller.

 walleye magnet
Pros: Runs True, very durable, Good Color Section
Cons: Need 3rd Size To Run Deep
Best Uses: Trolling for walleyes
Comments: the guide and several outdoor writers recommended this lure. I purchased the blue and the orange ones that go to 10ft. Worked great. Will try other colors. I wish that Storm would develope one that runs 20 or 30 ft when the walleyes are deep.
