 Smooth as silk
Pros: Good tip action, Plenty of backbone, Sensitive
Cons: None
Best Uses: Lake fishing
Comments: Purchased the 6' 6" medium light trs66, combined with the Shimano, CI4+ 2500 reel, a match made in heaven..Casts 1/8" - 1/2" lures with ease , even in the wind.I manged to hook into a nice 20" Northern while trout fishing, what a fight and feel.. Highly recommend this rod on a 5.5# tectan mono line....The best outfit I've owned in 40 years of fishing...

 Great rod
Pros: nice action, pretty sensitive
Cons: one of the guid wraps has hardly any clear coating on the top half
Best Uses: bass fishing pike
Comments: This rod was purchased not for it's sensitivity because I own G loomis and other high end st Croix rods but not in the 6FT M action. I got this for a hollow body frog rod for fishing from land , I needed a strong rod and a little flex in the tip and this looks like it's the perfect rod! I will surly be ripping some big bass out of the weeds with this beauty for sure! would have gave it a 5 rating but one of the guides is not covered good where they epoxy over the thread...had problems with the ST Croix rods in the past that are made over seas looks like they still are not on par with the USA made rods.

 Nice
Pros: Price
Cons: End eyes too close
Comments: Fish 2-4 times per week. Always used value rods. Finally upgraded. Very crisp and responsive. I know that this is considered an entry level croix but it is good. I am sure the higher end ones are even better. Love it. The end eyes can cause some tangles when changing lures. No biggy

 True to Spec Rod
Pros: Lightweight, Durable, Great price quality, Sensitiive with power
Comments: I just received this rod in the mail yesterday (TSR76MH). I felt the shipping was pretty fast seeing as how it came in 4 days and I used the free economy shipping. The rods aesthetics have changed from the previous years. It now has the St. Croix logo on it with the word Triumph written underneath. The rod has a gloss black color that transitions into a matte black color throughout the rod with gloss black wraps for the guides. The rod is very attractive. Although it has not yet seen the water I owned previous models of this rod in the past and they have performed exceptional. I purchased this rod for the sole use of cat fishing, pairing it up with an Okuma Trio 30. The pair match well and weight seems balanced with the slight majority to the handle. Anyway, great rod, great company you cant go wrong with St. Croix and these Triumphs are priced right for the budget minded angler.

Great pack rod
Pros: Good Quality, Durable, Easy To Transport
Best Uses: Lake Fishing, Large Fish
Comments: Bought the 6'6"M 4 pc. to take along on a hunting trip to northern Quebec where they had lake trout fishing as well. First fish caught was a 20lb.+ laker which fought for 15-20 min. This rod handled the fish with ease and the bend and flex were consistent from butt to tip. Pretty impressive for a multi-piece rod.

St. Croix Triumph TRS60LF 6' spinning rod
Pros: Good Tip Action, Lightweight, Good Balance, Good Value, Good Quality
Cons: Line and lure weight rating could be misleading
Best Uses: Panfish, Live Bait, Jigging, Light Lures
Comments: The Triumph TRS60LF is a good rod for fishing 1/32-1/4 oz presentations on 2-6 lbs line. It has more of a medium-fast action and subdued backbone, which allows it to be used effectively below its factory specs. The blank feels and fishes between a L power and an UL power, so it may be a bit disappointing if used at the high end of its ratings. The sensitivity is good and it balances well with 1000 size spinning reels. The components and craftmanship appear to be flawless. I use it primarily for panfishing with jig and bait combinations. but it could also be used as a light smallmouth or walleye rod, or for trout.

I love fishing with this rod!
Pros: Good Tip Action, Flexible, Lightweight, Accurate Casting, Durable, Easy To Transport, Sensitive
Best Uses: Large Fish, Small Fish, Ocean Fishing, River Fishing
Comments: This is just a fantastic rod. In my opinion ST. Croix makes the best, I have fished with them for over forty years and they have a great warranty department. I had a old rod that had a broken end from getting stepped on. I loved that rod, but since it was no longer made, St. Croix replaced it with the newest version for a nominal charge...Great, American company.

St. Croix - Great rods - Reasonable too
Pros: Sensitive, Great price quality, Good Tip Action, Flexible, Easy To Transport, Lightweight
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: I called St. Croix and told them I had a problem. Some of the bass I was catching were almost too big to land with my current rod. They said at St. Croix that's not considered a problem. They suggested I step up to a Medium action rod, and the results have been excellent.

Cons: No cons

 Excellant all pupose ultralight spinning
Pros: Accurate Casting, Easy To Transport, Good Tip Action, Sensitive
Comments: I bought the Triumph Travel Rod, TRS56ULF4 which 5.5' in length. Great action and plenty of power to catch brown trout and largemouth bass. I have had the rod about 4 weeks now and I have both of the above types of fish. My main reason for buying the Triumph Travel rod was for ease of transport and ability to cast well and to handle the fish I come across. The only thing I wish is that Fishusa would come up with a hard case that would hold the rod(4 pieces), an ultralight spinning reel and and few lures and hooks. Similar to the Daiwa or Shakespeare executive kit, but minus the reel. This would allow the use to select their own reel. I would recommend this to the avid and casual fishermen.

 St croix triumph spinning rods
Pros: Sensitive, Good Tip Action, Flexible, Durable
Best Uses: Large Fish, River Fishing, Small Fish
Comments: I fish on average 5 days a week since I retired in Dec. of 2006. I have other brands of rods and I also fly fish. For the price, the Triumph rods are hard to beat. I primarily use the UL,L and ML rods whether worm fishing for bass or tossing small spinners, these rods hold up. I've caught hundreds of fish and a number of large ones to affirm how tough the rods are.
